Join Several Members of the Source Water Collaborative in Cleveland for Members River Network’s River Rally 2019

River Rally, River Network’s annual conference will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, from June 21–24, 2019. The event will take place along the banks of the Cuyahoga River and mark the last time that river caught fire from unregulated pollution fifty years ago, a pivotal event that sparked the environmental movement that led to the establishment of the Clean Water Act. This year, they honor the history of and hope for the Cuyahoga River, as local, state and regional groups and agencies from around the country come together to learn from each other and celebrate successes as we plan for the next 50 years of clean water. Check out the program, which includes 70+ keynotes, plenary panels, workshops, and field trips, including a track focused on safe and affordable drinking water. And one workshop that you won’t want to miss is being hosted by Source Water Collaborative members titled Food & Water: Stronger Together. This session will offer tips and resources for leveraging USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) partnership program opportunities to implement

conservation and management practices that protect both surface and groundwater drinking water sources. NRCS, state, conservation district, and water utility leaders will share collaborative approaches for working with agricultural partners to advance share goals of ensuring safe and reliable sources of food and drinking water. Conference Scholarship applications are due March 15th and River Network paid members receive a registration discount.
