In an effort to improve waterways in the nation’s urban areas, the EPA has begun soliciting proposals for its new Urban Waters Small Grants.

The Small Grants emerge as the latest work of EPA’s Urban Waters Program and will be awarded to projects that improve water quality and revive communities across the country. Grantee projects may include research, studies, trainings, or demonstrations and will receive between $1.8 and $3.8 million dollars.

The grants are part of Urban Waters’ effort to help urban communities access and enhance local waterways and surrounding lands.
